Abstract

Test Case reuse is known as a prominent solution for reducing the cost of testing while increasing the test reliability and productivity. There are many methodologies presented that concentrate on generating reusable test cases, however there are very few that concentrate on measuring how reusable a test case is based on internal and external characteristics. This research investigated several metrics for measuring test case reusability and selected two that were most prominent. The two metrics are then combined and result a measurement model for measuring test case reusability. The prominent characteristic of this model is that it can serve as a template for test case reusability as it will allow for further metric factors to join and expand upon it.
