Abstract

Columns are the key load bearing elements in concrete frame structures. In this study, the effect of blast loadings occurred within the short distance was analytically examined. Aspect ratio of the column section, longitudinal reinforcement ratio and arrangement of longitudinal reinforcement were considered as variables. And AUTODYN was used to evaluate damage levels and define the relations among these variables with respect to behavior after blast.
