Abstract

Relocation of the resonance frequencies of the un-damped systems to desired values adding grounded springs is addressed. For the calculatıon of the necessary springs’ stiffnesses, a method based on Sherman-Morrison (SM) formula is presented. The method uses receptances of the original system and it needs neither analytical nor modal models. Numerical simulation shows that the method is very effective.
